Are you complaining about not being able to buy DRM-free media, or are you complaining that people pirate too much? If you want DRM-free classical downloads, ArkivMusic and eClassical both sell mp3s. And the iTunes store is now DRM-free (I think). I have not made the shift to non-physical yet because I like the flexibility of CDs (and they come pre-backed-up); I don't, however, own or buy very many. I also like to be able to sell them on Amazon Marketplace if I get bored of them. I'm thinking about taking the iTunes plunge though, since I've got a hankering for some Tom Waits.

I haven't bought a CD in 7 years!
You don't own 3,000+ CD's either.
If the DRM system works for you, enjoy!
